The Blonde - Animation [WIP]

As this was my Graduate film I had a deep connection to the Characters, and had a genuine desire to  do well by them through my Animation. The story is a deep meloncholic poem about lonely romance set in a cafe, so the visual story telling needs to hit some some key emotional points throughout the story.

I have Animated 2min 40sec of this film myself, averaging 8sec of Animation per day. Some shots require more time due to elaborate dance sequences between the 2 characters, and others are simple moments of stillness that still hold a lot of power. I produced the Animatic myself, so I have been in control of Animating the Camera too. This has been a massively rewarding learning curve as the smallest change to a camera angle can drastically change the feel of a shot. 

My favourite shots have been the close up emotional moments where i can use the facial rig to it's full potential to push the impact on the audience. I know i've achieved my goal when my heart aches for "Robby" and I really feel his loneliness through the screen.
